What can you say when someone so young dies......we have known JJ since he was in grammar school. He was always smiling and laughing with his friends. A happy young boy. JJ had everything you could ask for but most of all he had wonderful devoted parents and a beautiful family of his own. We will all miss him and miss his smiling face. May you Rest In Peace JJ. Keep your chin up Rick and be proud because you were a fantastic parent ! Love from CIndy & Ray Hayes

I was so sad to see this obituary in today”s TU. Such a nice family!! I remember sitting in the stands with Lucinda at Katrina & Marissa’s AHN cheer completions and passing you both in the halls of LSI Back to school nights, etc. The family travelled together and the siblings supported each other through all each other’s school events. Parents working hard to give their kids a good education. I’m so sorry for your loss.
Sending peace to you all 💜

My heart aches and I am so saddened to hear about the loss of my cousin J.J.! J.J. and I are first cousins by way of his mom, (my Aunt Susan) and my Dad.

Just last week Jonathan and I connected on Facebook but did not yet get to talk live.

Distance and our adult lives may have separated us for a long time but by no means did it diminish the awesome memories as kids and young adults.

In my younger days I spent lots of time (stayed over for weeks at a time) with aunt Susan and uncle Richie and cousin Butchy and J.J. at their home in Watervliet and the camp on the Hudson in Waterford (always fun times!!). Uncle Richie always had the best toys while kids and young adults. Also spent lots of summer weeks with Uncle Al and Aunt Jean (J.J.’s grandfather and grandmother) at their camp and the Keltz’s Garage. The memories were so impactful that to this day I vividly remember every inch of every place we shared together. Incredible – I can even remember the old soda machine in the garage, uncle Al’s truck (he let me drive it from the camp to the garage when I was under 10 years old), uncle Al’s garden, uncle Richie’s race cars and so much more.

My parents even had a camp at the Keltz compound in the 1970’s as well.

J.J. wanted to make a run for it in the corporate information technology world and he came to work with me in NJ at retailer called Nobody Beats the Wiz.

So many great memories to live on – will always have a special place in my heart!

Thoughts, prayers and sincere condolences to Lucinda, their kids, Uncle Richie and extended family and friends.

Life is short, gone too soon but will always be remembered!

Rest in Peace Jonathan

Sincerely and with love,
Paul, Patty, Joseph, Gianna and Paulie from heaven!
