Obituary for John Malinowski Jr.

WATERFORD John Malinowski Jr., 87, of John St. died Friday January 26, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Poland he was the son of the late John and Mary Storoz Malinowski St. He came to this country in 1932 and settled in Waterford.

John was employed at the US Arsenal in Watervliet for 36 years, retiring in 1985. Prior to that he worked at National Automotive Fiber Co. He was a veteran of the US Army-Air Force, was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Cohoes, was a member of the Watervliet Arsenal Fish and Game Club and the National Rifle Assoc.

Survivors include his wife Joan Gusberti Malinowski and his children, Regina Tison of Tacoma, WA, Jeffrey Michaels of Tucson, AZ and Jason Malinowski of Waterford and his step children Jeanne Smith (Steven) of Green Island, Karen Folmsbee and Candace Blair of Waterford. He is the proud grandfather of Terra Michaels and Justin Malinowski, great grandfather of Jacob, Joshua and Julia Malinowski, step grandfather of Christopher Smith (Melissa), the late Shane Folmsbee and step great grandfather of Parker and Rylee Smith.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial at Saratoga National Cemetery.
