Obituary for Verna B. Manory
WATERFORD Verna B. Manory, 76, of 3rd St. died Thursday June 14, 2018 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Charles Albert Pitcher and Verna B. and Vito Furciniti. She was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School.
Verna’s family was her focus and her life. Her happiest moments were spending time with her grandchildren.
She was the widow of Joseph F. Manory Jr. who died in 2011. She was the loving mother of Doreene A. Thomas (Gary Sr.) of Pittstown, Darlene M. Clemente (Michael) of Waterford and Lisa Doherty (Gary) of Cicero. She was the sister of Erma Catanzarita (Neal Benassi) of Waterford, Linda Trela of Watervliet, Laurie Cadan (Scott) of Schenectady and the late Clifford Furciniti. She was the proud grandmother of Michael Clemente Jr. (Danielle), Megan Clemente, Gary Thomas Jr. (Ashley) and Laura Thomas (Mike) and great grandmother of Logan Thomas. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 8 p.m. at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will be Monday morning at 9:30 am at Saratoga National Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the funeral service from 5-8 pm.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205.
