Obituary for Wilson S. Terry

WATERFORD Wilson S. Terry, 84, passed away Wednesday April 21, 2021at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albany. Born in Waterford he was the son of the late Wilson and Thelma Bourgeois Terry.

Wilson was employed for many years at the former Grand Union Warehouse in Waterford and retired when the facility closed. In retirement he worked for B&J Auto Parts, later NAPA. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. He was a member of the Waterford Senior Center and was in the golf league there. An avid Mets and Giants fan he enjoyed playing cards, bowling, golfing and playing his daily lottery numbers. He looked forward every year to growing his prize tomatoes and sitting in his screen house. Wilson was very proud of the fact that he lived to attain the oldest age of any of the male members in the Terry family.

Survivors include his children Gwen Terry and Scott Terry of Waterford Gay McKinney (James McGloine) of Halfmoon and Wilson Terry of Waterford and his sister Patricia Terry of California. He is the proud grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may visit with his family at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford on Monday from 4-7 pm.

As per pandemic regulations, masks are required and social distancing and occupancy limitations observed.

Committal services with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday at 11AM at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Patients Fund at the VA Hospital, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, NY 12208.
