TROY William L. Stowell, 60, of 9th Ave. passed away suddenly Thursday March 31, 2022 at his residence. Born in Troy he was the son of the late Melvin and Carolyn Parker Stowell. He was a 1979 graduate of Lansingburgh High School and had attended HVCC.

William had been employed for 23 years at the Stewart’s store in Cropseyville and retired several years ago. He had also been employed at Highgate Manor Nursing Home. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and also enjoyed camping.

He is the brother of Denise Worthington of Waterford, Dennis Stowell (Jamie) of Troy and the late Rita Smith. Also surviving is his aunt Marcia Chalifoux, his cousin Donna Church of Tennessee and his lifelong friends James and Laurie Prescott of Troy. He is the proud uncle of Heather, Jason, Holly, Ryan Edward, Ryan Michael, Karisa, Nicole and Kari. Several grandnieces and grandnephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 am at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 pm.
