COLONIE Vincent “Jim” Tarullo, 81, of Tull Dr. died suddenly Monday June 7, 2021 at his home. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary Andreola Tarullo.
Jim was a veteran of the US Army and served in Korea in the early 1960’s. He was trained as a cook in the Army and carried his culinary skills into his private life and had been employed as a cook at Albany Medical Center and later as chef manager at SUNY Albany.
He was an active communicant of Grace Episcopal Church in Waterford for the past 15 years and at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Colonie prior to that. During the 1950’s and 60’s he was a champion bowler in the area.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years Judith Whittredge Tarullo and his sons Ken Tarullo (Karen) of Delmar and Robert Tarullo (Sarah) of Westchester, IL. He is the brother of Daniel Tarullo (Rose) and Anthony Tarullo (Kathy) of Voorheesville, Richard Tarullo (Norma) of Colonie and Michael Tarullo (Anna) of Niskayuna. He is the brother in law of Frederick and Cheryl Whittredge of Ballston Spa. He is the proud grandfather of Carly, Cassidy, Nathaniel, Cairistiona, and Katerina. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive, as well as his canine companion, Comet.
Relatives and friends may visit with his family at Grace Episcopal Church 34 3rd St., Waterford on Monday from 4-7 pm.
Private funeral services will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of Grace Episcopal Church Waterford on Tuesday at 10 am. Interment with military honors will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.
