Obituary for Thomas E. Condon Sr.
MELROSE Thomas E. Condon Sr., 69, of Riley Rd. passed away Friday January 22, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cohoes he was the son of the late Robert and Theresa LeBlanc Condon. He was a 1970 graduate of Waterford-Halfmoon High School.
Tom had been employed for 43 years at the Mohawk Paper Mills in Cohoes and retired in 2014. He was a member and past president of the Local union at the mills. He was a member and past President of the Hoosic Valley Athletic Association and a former member of F.B. Peck Hose Co. in Waterford. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and camping.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 48 years Sandra LeMay Condon, his loving children, Jill Johnson (Christopher) of Wareham, MA, Stacy Ward (Jeff) of Lansingburgh, and Thomas E. Condon Jr. (Jennifer) of Johnsonville. He is the brother of Robert Condon (Althea) of Waterford, Ronald Condon (Caroline) of Latham and Theresa Cross (Steven) of St. Albans, VT and the proud grandfather of Jeffrey and Collin Ward and Mollie and Amanda Johnson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9 am from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford and at 9:30 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 pm.
Due to pandemic regulations, masks are required, social distancing practiced and occupancy limitations observed.
