CLIFTON PARK Stanley W. Horrocks Jr., 88, of Rte. 236 died Saturday October 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at Saratoga Health and Rehab Center. Born in Waterford he was the son of the late Stanley W. Horrocks Sr. and Elizabeth Finney Horrocks.

Stanley was employed as a New York State Trooper stationed at Troop G and retired in 1975. He also had been employed by the United States Postal Service and retired from there in 1992. Earlier in his career he worked at the Watervliet Arsenal. A veteran of the US Army he had been station in Germany with the Army of the Occupation after World War II.

He and his loving wife Doris Dobert Horrocks, who survives, were married on July 12, 1952. He is also survived by his loving children Brian Horrocks (Bonnie) and Kathleen Krug (late: Allan). He is the brother of Betty Morgan and the late Iris Tokarz, Georgina Warner Weaver, June (Cookie) Stoliker and Jack Horrocks. He is the proud grandfather of Amy Vooys (Dugan), Ashley Bush (Josh), Scott Krug (April), Ryan Comstock (Heidi), Kenneth Comstock (Kim) and the late Michael Krug. Also surviving are 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford on Wednesday at 11 am. Interment will be in Waterford Rural Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm.
