Obituary for Shirley B. Lavigne (Bloomfield)
WATERFORD Shirley Bloomfield Lavigne, 94, of Middletown Rd. passed away with the help of the angels at “The Hospice Inn” at St Peters Hospital on Saturday March 27, 2021.
Shirley is predeceased by the love of her life Leonard Lavigne, her dear parents John and Helen Bloomfield, her brother John “Tuddie” Bloomfield Jr. and her most cherished cousin Ruthie Akin.
Shirley is survived by her loving children, Ruthie Kramek (Ed) of Halfmoon, Lynda Rhodes of Waterford, Bill Lavigne (Joanne ) of Corinth, Sheila Davies (Montana) of Halfmoon and Jack Lavigne (Lynnette) of Waterford. She is the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Shirley enjoyed a wonderful life growing up in her beloved “South Troy”. She and Len moved to Halfmoon and raised their family in a wonderful neighborhood. She loved being with family. She enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos with friends. She spent her summers on Brant Lake and her winters in Myrtle Beach and made so many friends in both places.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
