Obituary for Sheila Thibodeau (Luce)
HALFMOON Sheila Thibodeau, 81, of Vale Drive passed away suddenly Friday April 14, 2023 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ethel Quackenbush Luce. She was a 1960 graduate of Cohoes High School.
Sheila had been employed for 30 years at the former Bendix Corporation in Green Island and retired in 1995. In her retirement years she enjoyed camping going to Racino and traveling to Las Vegas, but especially enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 63 years Joseph H. Thibodeau, her loving children Joseph H. Thibodeau III (Dorothy) of Cohoes, Duane E Thibodeau ( Dawn) of Mechanicville and Danielle M. DeVoe (Ronald) of Halfmoon. She is the sister of Marjorieann Stewart (late George) of Halfmoon, Barbara Wagner (late Richard) of Huntsville, AL, Ethelmae Lefebvre (Joseph) of Waterford and the late Shirme LaChapelle and Charron VanDuren. She is the proud grandmother of 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Sunday April 23, 2023 at 4 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday April 23 from 2-4 pm prior to the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Brain Injury Association of NYS, 5 Pine West Plaza, Suite #506, Albany, NY 12205.
