COLONIE – RoseMary Durett, 85, passed away on Saturday January 9, 2021 after a long illness.

Born September 30, 1935 she was predeceased by her parents, William E. Dellea and Catherine Kress. As well as her siblings, Robert Dellea, Paul Dellea, Julia Carroll and Joyce Macauley.

A graduate of Waterford-Halfmoon High School, she was briefly employed by the New York State Insurance Fund and later held a position as a clerk at the Waterford Public Library.

She is survived by her son Scott Durett of Colorado and daughter Catherine Carey (Scott) of Colonie. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brian Durett of Colorado and her most precious granddaughter Laura Carey (Max) of Colonie. She had a special relationship with Laura creating many lasting memories. She will always be remembered as “GrandMary” and “Doe” to Laura. Together they enjoyed doing the daily Jumble puzzle in the newspaper, watching soap operas and Jerry Springer. They also shared many inside jokes.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society.
