Obituary for Robert W. Lennox Sr.
GREEN ISLAND Robert W. Lennox Sr., 81, of George St. died Monday March 29, 2022 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Carthage, NY he was the son of the late Claude and Anna Lennox. He was educated in the Shenendehowa School System.
Robert was retired from the John A. Manning Paper Co., now Lydall Corp. in Green Island where he had worked for 40 years. He was a veteran of the US Army. He volunteered with the American Cancer Society and was a weekly attendee with their Living With Loss Goup. He was a avid bowler in his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing and board games, but his greatest enjoyment was time spent with his son on Sunday mornings.
He was the husband of the late Margaret Bove Lennox who died in 2011. He is survived by his children, Robin Powers (Tom) of Poestenkill and Robert W Lennox Jr. (Stacey) of Waterford. He is the brother of Richard Lennox (Donna) of Cohoes, Charles Lennox of Alabama, Mary Mattison (Van) of Pennsylvania, Judy Lennox of Watervliet the late Fred, John and Tom Lennox. He is the proud grandfather of 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A committal service with military honors will be held on Wednesday April 6, 2022 at 1 pm at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
