Obituary for Robert W. Nolin

WATERFORD Robert W. Nolin, 84, of Craig Ave. passed away Thursday June 30, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born and educated in Watervliet he was the son of the late George and Catherine Behan Nolin.

Bob was a member of the US Merchant Marine and worked for many years on numerous tugboats as a cook and deckhand. He retired from the Mobil Oil Co. Upon retirement he drove school bus for 7 years for Shenendehowa School District and then drove the Waterford Senior Bus for 5 years.
He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and member of the American Legion, Charles J. Brady Post 235. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford and was a member of the Waterford Senior Citizens. He enjoyed camping and traveling in his RV and going to Balloon Fests. He was an animal lover and had several pet dogs during his life.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Rita Belski Nolin, his children, Anita Murray (Tom) of Ballston Lake, Robert G. Nolin (Nancy) of Clifton Park, William J. Nolin (Cheryl) of Queensbury, Jacqueline Boucher (Mark) of Ballston Lake and Lisa McCoy (Mike) of Clifton Park. He was predeceased by his brother George R. Nolin. He is the proud grandfather (Peeps) of 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Thursday July 14, 2022 at 9:30 am from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford and at 10 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday July 13 from 4-7 pm.
