Obituary for Patricia F. Wilson (Fitzgerald)
WATERFORD Patricia F. Wilson, 88, of Garrett Dr. entered into eternal life Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late William and Ursela Hartnett Fitzgerald.
Pat graduated from Troy High School in 1949 and worked as a home health aide throughout the area for many years until her retirement in 2006.
Pat had an active retirement. She was a member of the Waterford Senior Citizens and enjoyed taking bus trips to New York City for shopping. She often enjoyed her outings to the Racino in Saratoga. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church and belonged to St. Mary’s Altar Society. She also loved to read and watch her favorite team, the NY Yankees as well as going to the Albany Symphony Orchestra.
Pat was the wife of the late Andrew Wilson who died in 1985; the loving mother of Susan Abel of Saratoga, Kevin Wilson (Lisa) of Waterford and the late David and William Wilson; the grandmother of Simon Wilson (Stacy), Daniel Abel (Gabby) and Morgan Wilson; and the great grandmother of Kaylee and Ryan Abel, Philip Wilson, Dillon Brown, Gabrielle Wilson and Brianna Brown. She was also the aunt of Allison Mosier (Scott) of Amsterdam.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral home, 133 Broad St., Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. prior to the service. Masks will be required and social distancing and occupancy regulations observed.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Restoration Fund, 119 Broad St., Waterford, NY 12188.
