Obituary for Meridith Hunter

Meridith Hunter, born November 26, 1927, passed away peacefully at her home on December 29, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Meridith's passion was art and sculpture and she had a tremendous talent for rendering faces and emotional expression in her work. An adventurer from birth, Meridith traveled the world, lived all over the country, swam with dolphins and worked with tigers at a sanctuary. Meridith had many talents throughout her life including modeling, dancing, singing, writing and architecture; she was a life long supporter of endangered animals and equal rights for women.

Meridith is survived by two of her three beloved children, numerous grand children and their partners and great grandchildren, each of whom she loved and cherished deeply. She also loved and greatly appreciated her friends and felt blessed that they visited her so often at home.

Friends and family are invited to join us in celebrating Meridith's life at a memorial service on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Waterford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) at https://support.worldwildlife.org.
