COHOES Matthew V. Crispell, 49, of Howard St. died suddenly Sunday November 11, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Cohoes he was the son of the late George and Idella Ferguson Crispell. He was educated in Troy schools.

Matthew had been employed for a number of years at the King Fuels Store on Hoosick St. in Troy and more recently by Cumberland Farms in Cohoes. He was an amateur author and also enjoyed drawing.

He is the brother of Alberta Quintal of Watervliet, Sharon Crispell and Kenneth Crispell of Cohoes, Kathleen VanSyckle of Watervliet, the late Francis “Butch” Crispell, Joseph Crispell and George Crispell Jr. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
