Obituary for Mary A. Cicchinelli (Lazzaro)
PARKER, CO Mary A. Cicchinelli, 96, formerly of Latham died Thursday December 27 2018 at Porter Hospice Residence in Parker, CO. Born in Argentina she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Concetta D’Amico Lazzaro and widow of Anthony J. Cicchinelli who died in 2017. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School in Green Island, Catholic Central High School Class of 1940 and Albany Business College Class of 1941.
Mary was a member of the inaugural staff of the NYS Conservationist magazine and the PTA of the former St. Patrick’s School in Watervliet. She was an accomplished dressmaker and designer, violinist, and avid Bridge player, as well as the Chief Financial Officer of Cicchinelli Plumbing and Heating.
Mary is the mother of Louis F. Cicchinelli (Dorotha Graham) of Parker CO and sister of Anthony Lazzaro of Green Island, the late Frank, Joseph, Josephine, and Ben Lazzaro. She is the proud grandmother of Lauren Prasse (Nate), Gavin (Bradee), Evan (Erica) and Julia Cicchinelli, and great grandmother of Jordyn and Cole Prasse and Sofia and Giovanni Cicchinelli. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday at 9:30 am from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford and at 10 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. Interment will be in Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 12 noon.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM.
