Obituary for Marion B. Willetts (Rigney)
WATERFORD Marion B. Willetts, 88, of 2nd Ave. passed away Friday March 18, 2022 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Cohoes she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Mary Domay Rigney. She was a 1951 graduate of Cohoes High School.
Marion was employed for 27 years by NYS Taxation and Finance and retired in 1990.
Marion was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford and was a member of the J.W. Ford Hose Co. Auxiliary. She especially loved trips to casinos and also enjoyed camping and bowling, having belonged to two bowling leagues.
She is the widow of John F. Willetts who died in 2006. She is the loving mother of Donna Craig, David Willetts (Denise) of Troy, Mark Willetts of Salem, John Willetts II and Jeff Willetts of Waterford and Kenneth Willetts (Jody) of Buckhead, GA. She is the sister of Warren Rigney of Cohoes, the late Donald, Robert, James and Al Rigney. She is the proud grandmother of 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at noon at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Waterford. Interment will be in Waterford Rural Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 pm
