TROY Marie Gallo Douglas, 75, of 106th St. died suddenly Monday November 12, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Mario and Mildred Chouffi Gallo. She was a 1961 graduate of Lansingburgh High School.

Marie was a hairdresser in Troy early in her career. She had also worked at the former Decca Records in Cohoes. She then moved to Freeport, Grand Bahamas and spent 34 years there. While there she worked as an Executive Assistant at Bahama Princess Resort and Casino and at Lucayen Beach Resort and Casino. She returned to Troy in 2006.

Marie is the mother of Chanel Douglas of Birmingham, AL and sister of Joseph Gallo (Jeanette) of Saratoga, Rose Perrotto of Latham, Thomasine DeShaw (Dave Robertson) of Troy, Carmaline Caliguire (Pat) of Clifton Park, the late Jean Blair and Anna Pettit. She is the proud grandmother of Adrien, Avery and Ashley Cox and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no public viewing hours.
