WATERFORD Margaret E. McGrievey, 92, of 4th St. passed away Sunday June 6, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Waterford she was the daughter of the late John P. and Catherine Groat Moore. She was a 1948 graduate of Waterford High School and had resided in Westfield, MA for 23 years.

Margaret was employed by the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance in her earlier years and also at the former Reis Manufacturing Co. in Waterford. She was a member of the Waterford Museum and Cultural Center and the Democratic Ladies of Waterford. She also enjoyed bowling.

She was the widow of Frank Clark McGrievey who died in 1996. She is the mother of Michael C. McGrievey (Suzette) of Westfiled, MA, David C. McGrievey and Nora A. Noonan (Michael) of Waterford. She is the sister of Robert Moore (Lynn) of Florida and is also predeceased by 5 brothers. She is the proud grandmother of Michael, Kelly, Molly and David. Seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside committal service on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.
