HALFMOON Margaret E. “Peggy” Lussier, 88, a longtime resident of Halfmoon passed peacefully at her home on Christmas Eve, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on July 11, 1932 in Troy, NY, she was the beloved only child of Samuel and Florence Bott.
Margaret graduated from Troy High. She married George M. Lussier of Cohoes, NY on September 26, 1953.
Margaret was primarily a homemaker; her greatest joy was her family. A wonderful cook, her many holiday dinners and parties were legendary. She was also a talented artist and musician, often playing her piano for many family occasions. She loved children including all she met while working at Hoosic Valley Central Schools.

All who knew her can attest to her strong faith, strong will and indomitable spirit. She was always up for any adventure, and maintained a youthful attitude very late in life, making her a favorite among grandchildren. Margaret enjoyed camping, traveling, horseback riding, shopping, and family get togethers. She adored animals.

She is survived by her husband, George Lussier, daughters, Nancy Donohue of Clifton Park, NY, Debbie Lewis (Richard), of Averill Park, NY, Gail Breda (Joseph) of Ballston Lake, NY, Lisa Pobran (Randall), and son Gary Lussier (Rosemary) of Halfmoon. 9 Grandchildren, one great grandson and another on the way.
