SARATOGA SPRINGS Lori A. McNamara-Pokeda, 52, of Pyramid Pines died Friday October 26, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Troy she is the daughter of Gloria Ross McNamara of Schenectady and the late William McNamara. She was a graduate of Troy High School and Mildred Elley College.

Lori worked for 10 years at the former NCBA in Clifton Park and more recently worked with her husband in the family business Law Enforcement Training Services. She was an animal lover and was involved in pet rescue operations.

She is the devoted wife of William M. Pokeda and loving mother of Jasmine L. Myers of Troy. She is the sister of Kenneth and William McNamara of Troy and James McNamara of Texas. Her dear friend Charlenia Myers of Troy and several nieces and nephews also survive as well as her canine companion Toby and feline companion Kitty cat.

Funeral services will be Friday at noon from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford and at 12:30 pm at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 10 am to noon prior to the funeral.
