Obituary for Lois West (Genther)
WATERFORD Lois West, 84, of Washington Ave. and formerly of Rome, NY passed away suddenly Wednesday November 23, 2022 at her residence. Born in Syracuse she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mabel Clark Genther. She was a 1956 graduate of Rome Free Academy.
Lois was employed by the O’Shea, McDonald and Stevens Law Firm in Rome for 39 years and retired in 2007. She then moved to the Waterford area to be closer to her family and enjoyed taking care of her great grandchildren. She was a member of the Halfmoon Senior Center. Lois loved animals.
She is survived by her daughter Deacon Denise Moore (William) of Waterford and is the proud grandmother of Jennifer Kuhn (Patrick) and great grandmother of Makenna and Lianna Kuhn.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday Dec. 4, 2022 at 1 pm at Grace Episcopal Church, 34 3rd St., Waterford. A reception will immediately follow.
A private graveside committal service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Rome.
