Obituary for Linda M. Kenney (Force)
WATERFORD Linda M. Kenney, 67, of Fonda Rd. passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Sunday April 23, 2023 at Albany Medical Center. She was a 1975 graduate of North Bellmore High School on Long Island.
She was a talented hairstylist for over 49 years with many clients becoming close friends. A larger than life personality, who loved to party, dance, laugh and play jokes. She had a selfless, loving heart, which many felt as they came to her for advice. Counting her birthday wishes on Facebook was an ongoing traditional joke thru the years. Her favorite role in life was being a Mom, until she became Grandma “Nan” to her grandchildren Mia, Ryan and Jensen. They were her pride and joy and she spent most of her time with them. She will be dearly missed as they loved their Nan. Married 47 years in an Edith and Archie Bunker relationship built on love, fun and lots of laughs. She enjoyed summer vacations to York, Maine and frequent travels to Texas to visit her brother and sister.
Survivors include her devoted husband Michael J. Kenney. She is the loving mother of Keri Mayo (Jay), Lisa Prusky (Jeremy), Kaylin Kenney, Michael Kenney (Pahola) and the late Tricia Kenney. She is the sister of Theodore Force (Carol), Steven Force (Audra) and Donna Hermes (Todd) and is the proud grandmother of Sydney and Nicholas Mayo, Mia and Ryan Fredrick and Jensen Prusky. Many, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who she loved and adored also survive.
Funeral services will be Saturday April 29, 2023 at 6 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32) Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday April 29 from 4-6 pm prior to the funeral service.
