Obituary for Lawrence R. "Larry" Jarvis

WATERFORD Lawrence R. Jarvis of Pineview Ct. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer on Saturday December 12, 2020. Born May 31, 1955 in Troy he is the son of Ernest and Jane Dassatti Jarvis of Cohoes. He is a 1973 graduate of Keveny Memorial Academy and received his Associates Degree from HVCC.

Larry was a carpenter and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Local 370. He had worked for several area contractors on various projects but the one most memorable to him was the restoration of the NYS Capital Building. While a student at Keveny he was known for playing his trumpet and being on the basketball team. He was a former member and past officer of the Boght Community Fire Co. and a quick responder with the Boght Ambulance Squad. He enjoyed many outdoor activities over the years, especially camping with his fiancée Patty at Loon Lake. He also enjoyed long drives in his blue Corvette.

In addition to his parents he is survived by the love of his life and fiancée Patrice Yager and his sister Kathy Moore (Rick) of Waterford. He is uncle of Bryan, Stacy and Connor Dowling, Jennifer Leonard (Erik), Lori and Lindsey Dowling. Also surviving is his little buddy Tanner. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Virginio (Al) and Anna Michaud Dassatti and Raymond Jarvis Sr. and Lena Forget Jarvis. He will also be missed by Pattty’s loving family.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 am at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 pm.

In compliance with pandemic regulations, masks will be required, social distancing and occupancy limitations observed.
