Obituary for Lawrence D. Demers
WATERFORD Lawrence D. Demers, 68, of Bells Lane passed away Monday May 30, 2022 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Cohoes he was the son of the late Alfred and Fleurette T. Gaudreau Demers. He was a 1972 graduate of Shenendehowa High School.
Larry was retired from Frank J. Ryan & Son Painters where he had been employed for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Kuscsik Demers and his devoted daughters Stacey Fero of Waterford, Lisa Fero and Lori Dalaba (Steve) of North Carolina. He is the brother of Joe Demers (Sue), Carol LaDue (Gary) of Clifton Park, David Demers (Candi) of Pennsylvania, Janice Demers (John Sutton) of Clifton Park, Jim Demers (Andrea) of Saratoga and the late Emily, Bob and Debbie Demers. He is the proud grandfather of Leonna Robinson, Owen Childs, Tyler Fero, Emma Dalaba, CJ. Vega and Peighton Brizzell and great grandfather of Anna, Gia and Olivia. Also surviving is his best friend and hunting and fishing buddy, Ron Langlais as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 am at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will be in Waterford Rural Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 pm.
