Obituary for Kevin J. McClure Sr.
WATERFORD Kevin J. McClure Sr., 66, of Fairview Ave. passed away peacefully Wednesday February 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in troy he is the son of the late Harold and Mary Thatcher McClure. He was a 1973 graduate of Catholic Central High School and a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College.
Kevin was employed for 35 years at the Troy Housing Authority and retired 11 years ago. He was very active in Living Hope Christian Church in Ballston Lake having been on the Worship Team at the church and played guitar and sang at services there. He was a member of the Brunswick Lodge of Elks. He was a car enthusiast and was proud of his 1967 Chevelle Super Sport and also enjoyed playing golf. His greatest enjoyment though was spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his devoted wife Ann Parissi McClure, his loving children, Kevin J. McClure Jr. of Long Island, Patti L. Stepich (Jason) and Matthew R. McClure (Courtney) of Wichita, KA. He is the step father of Shannon McMahon (Brian), Nicole M. Barton of Waterford, William E Barton of Malta and Nathan T. Barton of Waterford and is the brother of Kim Reksc (Don) of Amsterdam. He is the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday at 3 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service from 1-3 pm.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions in his name to, Community Hospice, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
