WATERFORD – Kathy E Vulcano, 57, of Higgins Road, died Saturday March 18th at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Waterford, she was educated in the Waterford Halfmoon schools and proudly attended the Spendwood School of Dance for several years. Kathy retired after 28 years from the New York State Insurance Fund.
She was the daughter of the late Tommie and Mary McPadden Taylor. She is survived by her daughters, Kaelin M. Berg and Marrisa L. Vulcano. She was the sister of Betty Anne Romando (John) of Lakewood, NJ, Eileen Vierling of Waterford NY, Paul Brown of Waterford NY and Beth Hage of Niskayuna NY. She is also survived by her step-mother, Jayne Taylor, her nephews Joseph Romando and Tom Vierling and nieces, Mary Catherine Romando (Jon) and Mary Vierling.
Kathy spent many summers at Pop’s Lake Campground, her second home and happy place. She enjoyed countless days at her bonfires and was known there as the “Pallet Queen”. She was always surrounded by many good friends, her second family. There will be a Celebration of Life in honor of Kathy at her camp this summer.
Relatives and friends may visit at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford on Saturday March 25, 2023 from 1 – 4 pm.
