WATERFORD Kathleen T. Smith, 74, of Shear Ct. died suddenly Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018 at her residence. Born and educated in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Alice Lewis Doyle.

Kathleen has resided most of her life in Waterford. She had been employed in telecommunications at RPI. She was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church, a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and belonged to the Columbiettes. She also loved to sing with the Silver Tops in Cohoes and was a former member of St. Anne’s Choir in Waterford.

Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Donald F. Smith, Jr.; by her beloved daughters, Kimberly A. Ellenwood (Peter) of Niskayuna and Donna M. Smith of Waterford; by her siblings, Robert Doyle of Saratoga, Helen Robitaille (Thomas) of Halfmoon, Michael Doyle of Watervliet, Shirley Doyle Alghzali of Watervliet, Anthony Doyle (Sheila) and Ann Marie Capuano (Rocky) all of Brunswick. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew and Krystyna Cardish and Emily Ellenwood as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Patricia Wilkinson and Mary Berthiaume Thomas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Waterford and at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church, Lansingburgh. Interment will follow in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
