Obituary for June W. Jackson (Willard)
TROY June W. Jackson, 79, formerly of Waterford passed away Friday June 10, 2022 at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Eugene J. and Helen Winchip Willard. She was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School Class of 1960 and a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College.
June was retired from the NYS Department of Tax & Finance. Prior to that she was employed by the Troy Record Cloth-A Child Program, Behr Manning and Residential Opportunities in Cohoes. She was a co-founder of the local chapter of International Families, was a volunteer at the Waterford Swimming Pool and a member of the Friends of the Waterford Public Library. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
She is survived by her husband Joseph F. Jackson, her children, Deborah J. LaFountaine (Scott) of Troy, Suzanne M. Jackson and Kristian J. Jackson of Waterford and Kevin Lennon of Rensselaer. She is the sister of the late Carol J. Hook and Edward E. Willard. She is the proud grandmother of Samantha LaFountaine, Zachary M. Lennon (Katie) and Taylor J. Lennon and great grandmother of Alexis June Lennon. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday prior to the funeral service from noon- 1 PM
