Obituary for John H. "Jack" Kline

WATERFORD John “Jack” Kline, 90, of Washington Ave., passed away Tuesday October 4, 2022 at his home. Born in Waterford he was the son of the late Harold and Eleanor Johnson Kline. He was a 1949 graduate of Waterford High School.

Jack had been employed for over 30 years by the former Behr Manning Co. later known as Nashua Corp. and retired Nov. 1, 1984. He later was employed at the Shenendehowa School District and retired from there after 10 years of service. He was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps and served in the Korean War.

Jack was a member of the American Legion Mohawk Post 1450 in Halfmoon. An avid sportsman he was a NY Yankees, NY Giants and NY Rangers fan. He enjoyed fishing and attending the horse races in Saratoga. His greatest enjoyment though was family vacations by the ocean in Wildwood, NJ.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 38 years Lynda Charette Kline, his loving children Darcy Karwiel (Anthony) of Melrose, Lori Soucy of Valley Falls, Sandy Keegan (John) of Stillwater, Lisa Baratto (Greg) of Greenwich, Jackie VanHeusen (Larry) of Rexford and Jerry Dunn (Sue) of Mechanicville. He was the brother of the late Harold Kline and Jean Broomhead. He is the proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment with military honors will follow at Waterford Rural Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 11 am – 2 pm, prior to the funeral service.
