Obituary

WATERFORD Joanne Boyd, 67, of Middletown Rd. died peacefully, Wednesday December 19, 2018 at Albany Medical Center.

Joanne was a lifelong Waterford resident and the daughter of the late Joseph Arciello. She graduated from Waterford High School in 1970 and married the love of her life, Raymond G. Boyd.

Joanne’s passion was her family and she was loved by all. She especially enjoyed watching her grandsons play basketball and taking family trips to the ocean. Of course, her second passion was shopping at Macy’s. She will be remembered for her ability to always bring out the best in people.

In addition to her husband Ray, she is survived by her loving daughter Kimberly Fairclough (John) of Waterford, her grandchildren, Evan & Kyle Fairclough as well as her sister in law, Sr. Sharon Boyd.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network, 11781 Lee Jackson Highway, Suite 160, Fairfax, VA 22033-3309.

Ray and family, We still cannot believe that Joanne has passed. We have been friends for over 30 years and even though we moved 700 miles away you two always remained in our very small circle of "Best of Friends". Talking with Joanne lately gave us insight to what a brave and selfless woman she was. Privacy was so important to her and she never wanted to burden others with her illness. We are so grateful for the opportunity to have visited with her this past summer when we were in New York and our conversations these past months will be remembered always. It was an honor to have known her. Very few married couples can say they were together for over 50 years. Ray, she spent her entire life you, you were a lucky man. Love, Bob & Pat
