WATERFORD Jeffrey P. Knable, 68, of Van Schoonhoven Square died suddenly at his residence on Thursday June 30, 2022. Born and educated in Ogdensburg he was the son of the late Leonard C. and Mary Scaife Knable.
Jeff was retired from Goldstein Auto Group in Latham. He had also been employed at Northstar Chevrolet in Clifton Park, Collins Motors in Ogdensburg as well as at the former Fay’s Drug Stores in both Clifton Park and Ogdensburg. He was a veteran of the US Army Security Agency and served two tours in the 7th RRFS Unit at Ramasun Station in Thailand
Jeff was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed painting, singing and playing guitar as well as cooking and traveling. Jeff valued time spent with loved ones above all else.
Survivors include his wife Karen McGuinness Knable, his children, Jason Knable of Clifton Park, Tara Knable King (Jon) of Waterford, Derek Knable of Boulder, CO and Matthew Knable of Clifton Park. He is the brother of Carol Edwards and Lawrence Knable (Julie) of Ogdensburg and the late Brenda Jean Knable. He is the dear friend of Mary Beth Farr of Troy and is the proud grandfather of Nora Knable. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Louis and Helen Knable and maternal grandparents Mavis and Edwin Scaife. Also surviving is his uncle Paul Knable (Sheri) of New York City and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday July 22, 2022 at 10 am St Mary of the Assumption Church, 119 Broad St., Waterford, NY. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY
