SARATOGA SPRINGS Jean M. Decker, 90, formerly of Halfmoon, died December 20, 2020. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of Joseph I. and Grace Dickey Marion.

She attended St. Marie’s School and graduated from Cohoes High School. She retired from NY Telephone Company after 21 years and the N.Y.S. Dept. of Labor after 10 years. Jean was devoted to her family and loved the many get-togethers they had on many occasions. She loved gardening, was an avid bowler and homemaker. Jean and her family traveled the country on vacations and relocations.

Survivors include her three children, Marion (Michael) Godzik of Litchfield, N.H.; Marie (John) Wichser, of Williamsport, MD; and Stephen (Linda) Decker of Saratoga Springs.; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, and her sister Margaret (Edmond) Dolen of Glenville. Jean’s sister, Helen Chouiniere, and her brother, Carl Marion, both predeceased her.

St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford celebrated her memorial Mass on May 1, 2021.
