GUILDERLAND James M. Spretty, 70, of The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center died Tuesday October 23, 2018 at his residence. He had previously resided in Schaffer Heights in Schenectady. Born in Hastings, NE he was the son of the late Louis J. Spretty Sr. and Lyvonne LaPorte Spretty. He was a graduate of Waterford-Halfmoon High School.
Jim was retired from the State of New York. He enjoyed watching movies and listening to music.
In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his brother Louis J. Spretty Jr. He is survived by his nephew L. Joseph Spretty III, his sister in law Nancy Fontaine Spretty, several cousins and a grandniece and grandnephew.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 am at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte 32), Waterford. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service from 10 – 11 am.
