Obituary for James L. Adkins

WATERFORD James L. Adkins, 61, of Copperfield Dr. passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio he was the son of Roy Adkins and Sue Singleton Earlenbaugh. He is the step son of Leo Earlenbaugh and the late Kay Adkins.

Jim had been employed by Albany Medical Center as a Business Systems Programmer Analyst.

He was a man completely devoted to his wife and family who led by example, showing his faith in quiet ways that made a difference in so many. He was passionate about his work with youth, sharing Jesus with future generations.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his devoted wife, Marjorie Rogers Adkins, his loving children Sarah and Brian Adkins and his siblings Carla Boggs (Wayne), Brenda Adkins, Michael Adkins (Amy) and Mark Hungerford. He was the uncle of Nicole Willard (Andre), Brandon Boggs (Kailen), Delaney Adkins and Brayden Adkins and great uncle of Aisley and Ashton. He will also be remembered as “Grandpa Jim” by the Bojo, Thompson and D’Arcy children.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 7 pm at The Church at Newtown Rd., 142 Lower Newtown Rd., Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the church with Jim’s family on Tuesday from 5-7 pm prior to the service.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday Dec. 2, 2022 at 7 pm at Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Rd., Green, Ohio.

Relatives and friends may visit at the church with Jim’s family on Friday from 5-7 pm prior to the service..
