Obituary for Henry Joseph Mailloux

COHOES Henry Joseph Mailloux, 89, of Egbert St. passed away Saturday February 13, 2021 at Baptist Health Center. Born in Cohoes he was a lifelong resident of the city and was the son of the late Louis and Mary Ann Lajeunesse Mailloux.

Henry was employed at the former Brownsey Oil Co. in Niskayuna and earlier at Murray Oil Co. He had served 8 years with the Army National Guard Company B Infantry out of Cohoes. He was an avid bowler and belonged to the Columbia Businessmen’s League for 21 years. In his later years his greatest enjoyment was attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Henry was the loving husband of the late Barbara Ann Latham Mailloux who died in 2009. He is the devoted father of Donna Lewis (Daniel) of Cohoes and Joseph Mailloux (Teresa) of Clifton Park. He is the brother of Edna Rivet of Waterford, Wilfred Mailloux (Jean) of Clifton Park and Ernest Mailloux of Schaghticoke and predeceased by many other close siblings. He is the proud grandfather of Danielle Ryan (Timothy), Joseph Lewis (Kaitlyn Lembo), Jessica Mallison (Garrett), Sarah Mailloux (Brian Desrochers) and Courtney West (Jeffrey). Several nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at noon at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cohoes.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 10am - noon
As per pandemic regulations, masks are required, social distancing practiced and occupancy limitations observed.
