Obituary for Henrietta M. Phillips (Manupella)

TROY Henrietta M. Phillips, 97, a longtime Lansingburgh resident, passed away Tuesday February 7, 2023 at Eddy Heritage House. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Maslott Manupella. She attended Lansingburgh High School and Catholic Central High School and was a graduate of Troy Business College.

She was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church in Lansingburgh and enjoyed playing pinochle and Bingo.

Henrietta was the widow of the late Edward V. Phillips who died in 2011. She is the mother of Edward J. Phillips (Lisa) of Brunswick, Karen A. Hoffman (Hank) of Albany, James R. Phillips (Lisa) of Brunswick and the late Thomas Phillips. She is the sister of Rose Marie Manupella of Troy, the late Marian Rizzo, Josephine Pratt, Helen Taylor, Joseph G. and George Manupella and Margaret Siler. She is the sister in law of Maryann Manupella of Troy. She is the proud grandmother of Sarah (Ryan) Ireland, Allyson (John) Quackenbush, Katherine (Damian) Constantine, Jeffrey and Jason Hoffman, Jacob (Kate), Abigail and James (Melissa) Phillips and great grandmother of Michael Ireland, Mary Quackenbush, Adeline and Luke Constantine and Carter and Julianna Phillips. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10 am at St. Augustine’s Church, 115th St. & 4th Ave., Troy. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy.

There will be no public calling hours.
