Obituary for Gloria J. Stromberg (Salerno)
MENANDS Gloria J. Stromberg, 92, formerly of Park Lane passed away Tuesday August 29, 2023 at Millview of Latham surrounded by her loving family. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Louis and Florence Salerno. She was a 1948 graduate of Catholic Central High School.
Gloria retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 1992 after 42 years of service. She had served as a Poll Inspector for 23 years at Menands voting locations. She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville. She enjoyed golf, gardening and playing the piano. She was a world traveler and had visited China, Europe, Asia Minor, Egypt, Jerusalem, Italy and Switzerland.
Gloria is the sister of Florence DeBonis of Troy, Antoinette Salerno of Latham, the late Beatrice Manico, Elizabeth Salerno, Norma Graham and Jean Martel. Numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews also survive as well as her dear friend Mick Dellavalle of Colonie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass on Thursday September 7, 2023 at 10 am at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd., Loudonville, NY.
There will be no viewing hours.
