CLIFTON PARK George E. Stewart Jr., 92, of Vandenburgh Lane passed away Monday May 23, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cohoes he was the son of the late George E. Stewart Sr. and Mabel LaFerriere Stewart.

A steamfitter by trade, George was a member of Local 104 / 7 Plumbers & Steamfitters Union. Early in his career he had worked at Bell Fab Inc. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the American Legion Mohawk Post 1450 in Halfmoon. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting and fishing, and snowmobiling as well as being a master tinkerer.

He was the devoted husband of 67 years of Marjorieann Luce Stewart and the best father ever to, Mark S. Stewart (Mary) of Waterford, Charlene D. Hoffman-Anderson, Kimberly A. Coulter (Donald) of Saratoga Springs and George E Stewart III (Demetria) of Ravena. He was the brother of Robert Stewart (Theresa) of Cohoes and proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday evening at 7 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., (Rte.32), Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 pm prior to the funeral service.
