Obituary for Doris Mary Hazelton (Fisher)

CLIFTON PARK Doris M. Hazelton, 98, of Moe Rd. passed away Monday April 19, 2021 at Van Rensselaer Manor. Born in London, England she was the daughter of the late Charles and Louise Glover Fisher. She came to this country after WW II and settled in Coeymans at that time.

Doris was employed at the NYS Department of Health for 12 years and retired in 1988. She then worked part time at the NYS Department of Tax and Finance. She was a communicant of Grace Episcopal Church in Waterford and a former member of the Altar Guild at the church. She enjoyed bowling and belonged to leagues at Cohoes Bowling Arena.

She was the widow of Frank King Hazelton Sr. who died in 1970. She is the loving mother of Linda Gifford (Will) of Leesburg, FL, Wayne King Hazelton (Debra) of Greenville, Jill Simoncic (John) of Waterford, Betty Schrom (Keith) of Clifton Park and Frank King Hazelton Jr. (Kim) of Auberry, CA. She is the sister of the late Vivian Bell, Gladys Nichols and Charles Fisher. She is the proud grandmother of Damon, Nicholas, John, Cullen and Benjamin Hazelton, Jennifer Martinez, Jessica Schrom, Kristen Hardy, Carrie Harris, Victoria Baker and Bridget Hebert, Grace vonMoritz, Tim and Brian Gifford and great grandmother of Zachary, Lucas, Jerimiah and Hailey Hazelton, Avery and McKenna Hebert, Cameron and Ben Hardy, Emma Baker and Alexander Harris, Charlotte and Leo vonMoritz, Isla Gifford, and Dante and Marshall Hazelton.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Grove Cemetery, Coeymans.
