Obituary for Dennis A. Rivage
COHOES Dennis A. Rivage, 71, of Johnston Ave. and formerly of Waterford, died suddenly Thursday December 26, 2019 at his home. Born in Cohoes he was the son of the late Andrew and Grace Williamson Rivage.
Dennis was a former dispatcher with the Waterford Police Depament and earlier had worked at the New York State Library in Albany. A history buff, he had served as Waterford Historian and was also an authority on Cohoes and Lansingburgh history. He was a member of the Tri-State Emergency Team.
Survivors include her sisters Marion Rivage of Watervliet and Carolyn Miller of Troy as well as several aunts,cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside committal service will be held in the Spring at Waterford Rural Cemetery.
