TROY David M. Allen Sr., 67, of Whiteview Rd. died Wednesday January 6, 2021 at his residence. Born in Troy he was the son of the late John W. Allen Sr. and Rose Ashdown Allen. He was a graduate of Troy High School.

David had been employed as a cook at Samaritan Hospital in Troy for 35 years and retired in 2015. He also had worked at Jack’s Drive In in Wynantskill. He was a veteran of the US Army. David was a loyal Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed fishing and cooking.

He is the father of David Allen Jr. of Green Island, Megan Allen of North Carolina and Tyler Allen of Watervliet. He is the loving brother of John Allen (Ingrid) of Watervliet, Wayne Allen (Lori) of Rexford, Rose Rodriguez (Dave) of Wynantskill and the late Mark Allen Sr. and special uncle to Alyssa (Kwaku), Joshua and Matthew (Ally). Also surviving is his longtime friend Donna Pagano as well as aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private funeral services with military honors will be held at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
