Obituary for Constance E. Doll (Clement)
HALFMOON - Constance “Connie” E. Doll passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Ellis Hospital, just days short of her 83rd birthday. Connie was born in Troy, NY, the daughter of the late Thomas and Elaine (Taylor) Clement. Connie graduated from Catholic Central high school, class of 1956. She then attended Felt & Tarrant Comptometer School and became a comptometer operator for Shell Oil Co. and Grand Union.
Connie is survived by her husband, Karl H. Doll, Maj Gen, NY (Ret), and their two children, Karl D. (Grace) Doll of Sunnyvale, CA and Mark T. (Leslie) Doll, Col, (Ret), of Lakeville, MN. She is also survived by her sister, Andrea C. Levy of Lowell, MA, Granddaughter Tamlyn K. Doll and many cousins.
Connie was a trusted navigator, in their MGA, on sports car rallies and loved sailing in the Caribbean. She was always ready to pack her suitcase to travel and enjoyed numerous trips to Europe, driving from the Netherlands to the toe of Italy and usually included a stop at her favorite places, cable car to the top of Mt. Pilatus for lunch, a night in Lienz, Austria and a day or two in Vaduz, Lichtenstein.
In honor of her wishes, there will be no public services. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Connie will appreciate donations in her name to the Dr. Susan Love Foundation – for breast cancer research. “DrSusanLoveResearch.org”
