Obituary for Clara Andreola (DiCredico)

WATERFORD Clara Andreola, 97, formerly of Waterford passed away peacefully Monday October 10, 2022 at the Barnwell Nursing & Rehab Center in Valatie. Born in Waterford she was the daughter of the late Caesare and Anna Panara DiCredico.

Clara had been employed at Standard Manufacturing Co. in Troy and Reis Mills in Waterford. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford and was the oldest living member of the Altar Society at the church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Clara enjoyed cooking, painting, gardening and mostly being with her family.

She is the widow of Felix Andreola who died in 2001 and is the mother of Paula McCarthy (Dan) of Nottingham, NH and the late JoAnn Savage and is the sister of Argia DiCredico of Waterford. She is the proud grandmother of Sarah McCarthy (Kevin Casey), Katelyn McCarthy, Anthony Savage and the late Timothy Savage and great grandmother of Tim, Andrew and Isabella. She is predeceased by her best friend Rosemary Gavitt. They are now rejoined.

Funeral services will be Saturday October 22, 2022 at 10:30 from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St.,(Rte. 32), Waterford and at 11 am at St Mary of the Assumption Church, Waterford. Interment will be in St Mary’s Cemetery, Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday Oct. 22 from 9 – 10:30 am prior to the funeral.
