Obituary for Christine L. Lucey (Duchowny)
TROY Christine L. Lucey, 60, of New Turnpike Rd. passed away suddenly Saturday April 15, 2023 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Troy she was the daughter of Julia Wellington Duchowny of Pleasantdale and the late Thomas Duchowny.
Christine has been employed for the past 25 years by CDTA as a transportation coordinator. She was a former member and Co-Captain of the Hoosic Valley Rescue Squad. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, going to the beach, gardening and hosting parties at her home.
She was the widow of the late Timothy Lucey who died in 2018. In addition to her mother she is survived by her children Thomas Lucey (Ashley) of Lansingburgh and Ryan Lucey (Kala) of Pleasantdale and her father in law Thomas Lucey of Troy. She is the sister of Charlene Boivin (Patrick) and Karen Buess (Stephen) of Pleasantdale and the late Daniel Duchowny. She is the proud grandmother of Liliana, Aubrey and Brielle. Also surviving is her companion James Hull of Troy, several nieces and nephews as well as her canine companion Jake and feline companions Milo and Bentley.
Funeral services will be Wednesday evening at 6 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-6 pm prior to the funeral service.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204.
