Obituary for Cheryl A. Fecura (Goebel)
COHOES Cheryl A. Fecura, 76, of Dartmouth St. passed away Wednesday March 8, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late George and Florence Smith Goebel. She was educated in Cohoes Schools.
Cheryl had been employed at the Hannaford Market in Lansingburgh for 27 years and retired in 2016. A “shopaholic” she also enjoyed bowling, Bingo and trips to the casinos.
Cheryl was the widow of Robert E. Fecura Sr. who died in 2016. She is the mother of Delina Fecura and Tonya LeClair (Bob) of Cohoes, Robert E. Fecura Jr. (Staci) of Delmar, Patrick Fecura of Cohoes and the late Joseph Fecura. She is the sister of Mark Goebel (Carol) of Georgia, Margaret Morelli of Watervliet, the late Roselyn Mahoney, Kathleen Cure and Ronald Goebel. She is the proud grandmother of Haley and Carlee Fecura and Sasha LeClair all of Cohoes and great grandmother of Gianna Fecura-Riebeling. Several nieces and nephews also survive as well as her dear friend Kathy Casey of Watervliet and her sister in law, Patricia Goebel of New Jersey.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday March 28, 2023 at 7 pm at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday March 28, 2023 prior to the memorial service from 4-7 pm.
