HALFMOON Catherine A. Valenti, 58, of Halfmoon passed away peacefully Friday October 26, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Catherine E. Lezotte Valenti. She was a 1978 graduate of Heatley High School in Green Island.

Catherine was a Registered Nurse and had worked most recently for Seton Health Partners retiring in 2011. Earlier she had worked at several area hospitals and especially enjoyed pediatric nursing. She volunteered with several charitable organization including the Big Brother and Big Sister Program. A giving person, she was a supporter of the Capital City Rescue Mission.

Survivors include her devoted children, Joseph M. Sicko (Megan) and Robert J. Sicko (late: Christine) of Waterford and her sisters, Deborah Hurley (Michael), Roberta Valenti (Richard Sagendorf) of Green Island, Georgianna Hebert (Gregory) of Delmar. She is the proud grandmother of Julianna and Matthew Sicko and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 am at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford with Rev. Paul Barna. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 3-7 pm
