Obituary

COLONIE – Carol A. Karp, 74, entered into eternal life on February 7, 2021 with Fran E. Ondras, her twin sister by her side.

Carol was born on November 10, 1946, to the late Martha F. Rock and Henry L. Zajkowski. She is predeceased by her late husband of 43 years, Ronald J. Karp.

Carol is survived by her loving and heartbroken twin sister, Fran Ondras. The twins were inseparable and spent many years traveling with a special affinity for Las Vegas and the Saratoga Race Track.

She is also survived by her father’s wife, Alice Zajkowski of Las Vegas, Nevada and in-laws, Patricia and Richard Bartlett of Westerville, Ohio as well as many cousins and friends.

Carol was a licensed Commercial Lines Property and Casualty Insurance Broker and for over 35 years providing her expertise to several firms in the Capital District. She was a consultant at Holistic Studies Institute for many years and was active in events and activities offered by the Thunder Road Seniors of Colonie.

Private services will be held.

I did not know Carol really well but she was always a pleasant co-member of our Thunder Road Qi Gong group. I recall sometimes mentioning that I saw her at such-in-such a place and she would just smile and explain that it was really her twin sister that I saw. She will be missed at class when we ever reconvene.
My sympathies to you, Fran, and others.
