Obituary for Bonnie Lou Hughes (Gagnon)
STILLWATER Bonnie Lou Hughes, 76, of VanNess Road passed away unexpectedly Saturday August 27, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late George Gagnon Sr. and Ann Gagnon. She was educated in Cohoes schools.
Bonnie enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, lawn care, camping and boating. Her greatest enjoyment however, was spending time with her family.
She is the loving wife of Elliott R. Hughes. The couple would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in November of this year. She is the devoted mother of Kevin J. Hughes of Halfmoon, Kimberly A. Sala (Gregory) of Clifton Park and the late Timothy R. Hughes. She is the sister of Joseph Gagnon of South Carolina and the late George Gagnon Jr. She is the proud grandmother of Timothy Randall Hughes Jr., Briella Ann Sala, Miranda Ashley Hughes, Dylan Joseph Hughes, Alicia Marie Sala, Katlynne Rose, Nicolette Marie and Christopher Elliott Hughes and great grandmother of Westlynn, Royal, Beau and Ethan.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 am at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte 32), Waterford. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
